1 Wine Dude- Serious wine talk, for the not so serious drinker:
This website exists to help you learn more about wine. I primarily try to do this by a) entertaining you, b) providing useful information to you, and c) (hopefully) making you laugh along the way.
Let’s start by agreeing that, no matter what you’ve heard, learning to appreciate wine does not have to be daunting, expensive, or reserved for some strange elite with magical noses. You can learn to appreciate wine just as you can food, cooking, music, or anything else that you enjoy.”
Wine Peeps- Your link to great QPR wines from Washington State and beyond:
Wine Peeps is an independent wine blog dedicated to helping you get the most bang for your buck in wine. We do this through blind tastings of wine from around the world and calculations of Quality-to-Price Ratios (QPRs). Because we are located in Seattle, Washington, we have a special interest in Washington State wines.
In the course of our wine journey, we also enjoy numerous wine-related activities such as traveling throughout wine country, visiting vineyards, reading wine books, and trying wine gadgets, all of which we share with our readers.”

The Wine Curmudgeon- Common sense talk about drinking, buying, and enjoying wine:
Welcome to the Wine Curmudgeon, overseen by Jeff Siegel. I’m a nationally known wine writer whose work has appeared in a variety of newspapers and regional and national magazines. In everything I write, my philosophy is the same: The wine industry tries to intimidate consumers instead of educating them — and nuts to that.
Common sense articles about wine, written to help you understand what’s available and what it tastes like, as well as tips and advice about buying and drinking wine. My goal? Offer the information, and let you make the decision.”
Notes From The Cellar- Tasting notes and wine reviews, posted without regard for timeliness or punctuation
Notes From The Cellar is a journal of tasting notes and wine reviews (pejoratively referred to as a “blog”) written and maintained by Steve Paulo, rogue wine reviewer, software developer, baseball aficionado, and native son of California. Started on October 12th, 2009, with nary a wine to review and barely a descriptor to wield, Notes From The Cellar has grown steadily and is fast becoming a go-to online source of information and opinion for many wine lovers.”

Sour Grapes- A blog about wine
I got into wine quite by accident. A few years ago my beautiful wife, girlfriend at the time, noticed I was becoming a little more civilised in an effort to woo her. I must have been floundering so she decided I needed professional help and enrolled me on my first of many WSET courses. I got caught by the bug and soon afterwards was “studying” for exams. “Look ma, I got an A in drinkin’”I’ve travelled extensively around Italy, France, Australia and New Zealand which have given me a great perspective on the places, the people and the stories behind what goes into the glass. In 2007 I started sourgrapes.ie, for a bit of an Irish perspective on the world of wine and in 2010 began writing for The Sunday Tribune, a national paper based in Ireland.”

Just like my name, I believe there are only four major food groups and they all begin with the letter, “C” – Cabernet, Cheese, Chocolate, and Coffee. I was born and raised in Walla Walla, WA and I am the original Walla Walla wine blogger and “locapour.” I wanted to learn all about the wine industry from digging holes and planting the vines, working crush, bottling line and wine judge. I enjoyed working in the tasting room environment, even though I graduated with a Certification in Viticulture. However, after eight years of cleaning spit buckets and pouring for the masses, I hung up my corkscrew to pursue my writing and open my wine store, Walla Walla Wine Woman. Let me share the stories of the Walla Walla vines and wines with you.”
First let me get this out of the way. I am not a wine expert, sommelier, wine connoisseur, WSET certified, wine know-it-all and/or wine snob. I have though, been a wine drinker since 1970. I did dabble in some awful sweet pink crap, while in the service, in the mid 60′s. After that I stayed away from wine until I met my Italian born wife, who introduced me to Italian red wines. For the next 30 years, I drank only reds with occasional side trips with Chardonnay. It wasn’t until 10 years ago I began to drink some white wines on a more regular basis.
That usually always meant Pinot Grigio, until 3 years ago when I discovered Finger Lakes wines. Now it seems I am drinking more whites than reds. Go Figure!
I am married for 40 years, two adult kids, no grand-kids, two rescued dogs, full time Postal worker getting set to retire and still learning about wine and blogging.”

Bottle of White-A baby wine blog, custom Long Island winery tours & more!
To find inspiration for my own “About Me” section, I Googled “wine blogs” and came up with a plethora of results. In searching around, I found that many wine bloggers are professionals in the field: winemakers, vineyard owners, wine store buyers, sommeliers, etc. That’s not me. My only “education” in wine is the multiple trips I’ve taken to Long Island Wine Country and the few informal food & wine pairing and wine appreciation classes I’ve taken in Manhattan. However, as I begin to navigate my mid-30′s, travel more, and spend more of my hard-earned money on good bottles of wine, I’m interested in learning more about wine so that I a more informed consumer. I created this blog partially to document my experiences. Because I’m a lifelong resident of Long Island, I have a particular interest in local wines, specifically those from the North Fork.
By day, I am a high school English teacher and freelance journalist. To keep myself busy during the summer months, I partnered up with some good friends, both of whom are local business owners, to provide what I think is a very unique service: fully-customized tours of Long Island Wine Country. If you’re interested in planning your own tour of the Long Island wineries, please visit my link above to learn more about my custom services, all of which include safe and reliable transportation from my friends at Tran Star Executive Worldwide Transportation based out of Deer Park, NY.”
Wine Harlots-the virtue of vice
Wine Harlots was created by Nannette Eaton, who handles all of the editorial duties, including all of the wine sampling. Yes, it’s a rough assignment, but its a responsibility Nannette doesn’t take lightly. Good thing she’s thirsty!
Join the Wine Harlots on our journeys around the globe and the glass as we experience life, one bottle at a time. Raise a glass with us and repeat the Wine Harlot motto: “Excess is best!”

You are quite welcome Bottle of White!!
