If you’re new to this but would like to get your foot in the door somewhere, we’d like to hear from you too. Some of the most informative people are just sitting on a barstool, wishing they had an audience.
Advertising:
We are accepting ads and paid product review. There are plenty of options for where you’d like to be seen:
Front Page and Forum ad blocks are viewed by all cities and can easily be linked to other pages of our site and directory.
Directory ads are posted on the front page of the directory, either as a widget in the sidebars or as a sticky in the “featured listings”.
Calendar event ads are marked on the calendar alongside Cover Charge-It events.
Monthly giveaway drawings are available for participation by all those listed in our directory.
Programs and Promotions:
Cover Charge-It is a program designed to draw guests to the establishment and guarantee a bar tab. It allows viewers to choose where they want to go, to receive specials that the general public do not, to purchase their admission or package online, and to cut the line when they arrive at the venue. Offering potential guests discounts and perks can promise an uptick in revenue just by getting them in the door. We think of it as a promo flyer jammed under their internet windshield wiper.
How it works:
1. The establishment decides what type of promo or discount they’d like to offer. This is fully customizable and the sky’s the limit.
2. Next, we post it in the venue’s Directory Listing, the Home Page, the Calendar and add a link in the relevant City Page.
3. A simple click of the mouse brings the viewer to our payment options and confirmations are sent. The name, address and DOB as printed on the guest’s driver’s license are forwarded to the establishment by 7PM along with other specifics as necessary (added guests, celebrations, etc.)
4. Purchases must be made by 4PM on the day of use. (Times can be customized to the venue)
All patrons are advised of and agree to the policies:
o The venue reserves the right to deny admission based on the guest’s ID validity, intox level, attire, attitude etc.
o All purchases are non-refundable via B&D Magazine and are at the discretion of the venue.
o A printed receipt must accompany the guest and must match their driver’s license.
o Good for one-time admission only.
o Always age 21 and over.
The Keymaster program is an opportunity to instill our zero tolerance ideals into our much appreciated viewers. We are teaming up with local taxi and limo companies to offer discounted fares and packages to our viewers. Some transportation options include:
o Half off rides after 1AM with mention of the special.
o Free rides back to car the day after paying full price and getting a receipt.
o Free rides within 5 miles.
o Discount wine tour packages
o Discounted scheduled limo pick-ups
Venue options:
o Participating venues can provide a “key-check” (much like a coat-check). Patrons may pick up their keys the following day. This is a very easy way to help someone make the right decision in the beginning/middle of the evening and prevent a big mistake when they are leaving
o Advertise the participating taxi company phone numbers to their patrons
All Keymaster specials are just suggestions and are highly customizable. Rides must be taken from an establishment that serves alcohol and must go to a residence. In return for taking part in this very important program, only participating taxi and limo companies will be allowed to be listed in our business directory. All participating companies will also be put into a rotating ad on our directory Home Page at no charge.This program is not available in all locations.
